Numerical simulation of water entry of a symmetric/asymmetric wedge into waves using OpenFOAM

چکیده

This paper presents a dynamic overset mesh based two-dimensional Numerical Wave Tank (NWT) model to study the water entry of wedge into waves in process offshore lowering. The NWT is developed by integrating an incompressible multiphase flow solver on and wave generation library OpenFOAM. results symmetric/asymmetric still are presented validate comparing with published data. A series numerical simulations symmetrical/asymmetrical regular carried out, pressure coefficients, total force free surface profiles presented. Based parametric waves, influence amplitude, velocity, location (wave peak, trough, cross point level) analyzed. solutions provide fundamentals for further research safe control payloads during installation.
